This page describes the data handling visible in the MAPARTE website code. It is an operational summary, not legal advice. Third-party services have their own policies and controls.

Data stored in your browser

MAPARTE stores some editor settings and cached data in your browser's local storage. This can include recent place searches and coordinates, map-search cache entries, selected appearance and layout settings, custom marker data, and export-related preferences. The current site does not collect or save an email for checkout. A value saved by an older version may remain in your browser until you clear this site's storage. The app also keeps a small local diagnostics backlog for troubleshooting; this backlog is not sent to a third-party endpoint by that diagnostics code. You can clear recent places in Settings, and you can remove other site storage through your browser's site-data controls.

Map and location services

When you search for a place, MAPARTE sends the search text to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Reverse-geocoding sends the selected coordinates to that service. The map displays tiles from OpenFreeMap, so your browser requests map data from that provider as you view and move around the map. Device location is requested only after you use the location control and approve the browser prompt. These providers receive the requests needed to return their service and handle them under their own terms and privacy policies.

Analytics and advertising

The site includes Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights. These services may receive technical and usage information from your browser. The page configures Google Consent Mode with denied analytics and advertising storage defaults for listed EEA, UK, and Swiss regions; for other regions it sets granted defaults. A consent interface may be provided by Google's Funding Choices service where available. The cookie-settings control can report that settings are unavailable if the related interface is not loaded. Browser and provider settings may offer additional controls.

Downloads and payments

The site currently offers a free phone wallpaper download. Paid downloads and checkout are disabled; this version does not send email addresses or payment details to a billing provider. A secure server-side payment and entitlement flow has not been configured.

Accounts and credentials

The current source does not include Firebase authentication or a Firebase sign-up flow. Do not enter a Google account password into MAPARTE. No Firebase account credentials are required by this version of the site.
